Ezine Promotion

Promoting your ezine can be a lot of work, but it is work that we can all do. There are many ways to promote your ezine for free.

Among these are:
Ad Swaps- Ad swapping is a great way of getting your ad out there for free! Find other ezine publishers looking for swaps and send them an email asking if they would be interested in swapping. Tell them a little about your ezine and let them know where they can see a sample copy. You can easily find places to swap by doing a search for "ad swap" at www.google.com

Writing Articles - Writing articles is not as hard as it may seem. Write about what you know and just write as if you were instructing a friend or co-worker. Do not be afraid to let your personality shine through. That is what will make your articles unique. After you write your article, you will need to get them out to other ezine and ebook publishers. Article lists are a great way of doing this. Subscribe to the lists below and submit those freshly written articles.

Discussion Lists - Those who know me know that I am an avid believer of discussion lists and message boards. As with articles, you can establish your expertise and build your reputation which in turn will do wonders for promoting your business. Offer advice, help, ideas and post as often as possible! Make sure you have an effective signature line.

I have made sales, business contacts and obtained subscribers just by welcoming new people to a group. Be sure to follow the guidelines for each group/board. You do not want to be accused of spamming!

Go to www.yahoo.com and www.topica.com and do a search for discussion groups that deal with the subject of your ezine. You will find lots to choose from.

Announcement Lists - Now I agree that announcement lists are not one of the Power-Packed methods of promoting your ezine or business but for a few minutes work a day for a couple weeks a month, you can pick up a few contacts, customers, or subscribers. That doesn't sound too bad. Try these groups to get started:

Ezine Directories - There are hundreds of directories around the web you can submit your ezine to for free. Fill in the informaiton required and your ezine will be added to the list. I have gotten numerous subscribers from such directories. Do a search for "ezine directories" at www.google.com and you will be busy submitting for a long time.
